Our Foundation and Practice Philosophy
I think that Dental Associates is an office that's not like many others. It was created more than 50 years ago out of the idea that if you could bring people together of a like mindset, you can really provide some fabulous patient care. I think Dental Associates is one big family. We're all part of the family, and we like to extend that to the patients.
Treating Patients Like Family
And, you know, with the way dentistry is changing these days—more insurance-driven—the best part is there's nobody in this office that will treat you any different than they would somebody in their family. We don't do anything you don't need. Anything that you have to have done, we'll talk to you about another possibility, or two or three opportunities, right? But we don't treat any differently than we would one of our family members. I think that's probably the quality we have.
Transforming Smiles and Restoring Confidence
When patients come in and they're self-conscious about their smile, I love to take care of those patients and show them even small changes that we can do just to reshape them a little bit. Sometimes it just takes a few minutes and then they are really happy. Other times it's changing one or two teeth, and sometimes it is the whole smile makeover. But they all are amazing ways to treat patients and to really give them the results that they love.
Advanced Dental Technology and Customized Treatment
Technology is through the roof; we can simulate things before we even do them. The old days of you coming in and us doing our magic and you getting whatever we give you is over. We can plan ahead of time. You know the color, the shapes, and the styles, and it's tailored now.
The Reward of Patient Connection
What I love about my work is the patient interactions—teaching them about what we do. If I can make a difference in that respect and make them comfortable sitting in a chair and having treatment done, ending a visit with a hug made my day. Seeing somebody gain confidence in their appearance because of the work you've done is just incredible. You know, seeing somebody who was so worried about smiling and showing their teeth all of a sudden is flashing the biggest grins you have ever seen. I love that in dentistry. Now they are simply happy to share their smile and themselves with those around them.
